The Clayton Cup is a Spring Favorite in New York City. It is our first USCA sanctioned invitational of the season, and typically enjoys warm weather with a lot of sunshine, as it is always scheduled nearest to the the last weekend of Spring. Previously known as the New York State Championship, the event was renamed after Bob Clayton, a beloved past NYCC president.
Much like our Fall tournament, the event begins with a Wednesday evening cocktail party, toast and tallies on Friday and a wonderful Saturday evening dinner in Manhattan. Players will be divided into 3 or 4 flights with singles and doubles matches Thursday through Saturday, with finals on Sunday. All participants are encouraged to be members of the USCA. With so many Championship level players in the NYCC, you can always expect great competition and camaraderie in our tournaments!
The invitation for this tournament will be posted during May and June, each year, in our Members Area.
