All prospective members new to the sport of croquet are urged to attend at least one introductory teaching clinic held every Monday evening from 6pm until sunset from June through August at our Central Park courts before their applications are considered. This condition may be waived for players who are members of other croquet clubs.
Upon receiving a membership application and deciding to join the New York Croquet Club, prospective members are required to send the completed Membership Application, appropriate Dues and the Park Permit Application (not required for social members) to the club mailing address below. Shortly thereafter, the Membership Chairman will arrange an interview with you.
Following the application submission, prospective members have permission to continue attending the Monday night clinics or play at other times as the guest of a current member.
The Board of Directors will vote on candidates for membership following the interview. Those candidates that have completed all of the requirements outlined will be given consideration.
